Mr. T.J. Fitzpatrick: Information on Thomas J. Fitzpatrick Zoom on Thomas J. Fitzpatrick (Cavan-Monaghan) asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism if he is aware that at least one factory in Ballyjamesduff, County Cavan, has closed down and that others there are on short time; and the proposals the IDA or his Department have for the improvement of the employment situation there.

I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that they are paying special attention to the town and are actively promoting the vacated factory for a suitable new industry.

Am I right in saying that one factory has closed down and that all the others with one exception are on short time?
